Ingredients
  • 8 ounces ground beef
  • 1/4 cup uncooked rice
  • 1 ounce onion
  • 1 pinch garlic salt
  • 1 dash Italian seasonings
  • 1 pinch pepper
  • 1 cup water
  • 8 ounces tomato sauce
  • 2 slices sourdough bread
  • 2 teaspoons margarine
  • 6 ounces prepared salad

Directions

1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, rice, onion, garlic salt, Italian seasonings and pepper.
2. Mix well and shape into balls. Place in an oven-proof baking dish.
3. Combine water and tomato sauce and pour over meatballs.
4. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 30 minutes. Turn meatballs every 30 minutes.
5. 10 minutes before meatballs
are done, slice bread and spread with margarine. Place under broiler until lightly brown.
6. Serve with salad.
